Tennessean: Internet Program Lifts Murfreesboro Students’ Math Skills

After reviewing test scores last year, Principal Chontel Bridgeman noticed a disconnect between older students’ math ability and their results at Homer Pittard Campus School in Murfreesboro. This year, things are turning around thanks to an Internet-based program. IXL helps students work on skills by grade level, from addition and subtraction in pre-K to percentages, statistics and probability for eighth-graders (although Campus stops at sixth grade).
